The evaluation units for FBG technology offer multiplexing capabilities with a theoretical number of 125 sensors per channel. The most commonly used technology is based on a wavelength-shifting laser. This provides a large wavelength range with full optical power. The devices are available in various designs and models, both for field applications and for laboratories.

For the expansion of evaluation channels, data storage, etc., there are several solutions available for the devices, including higher sampling rates of up to 10 kHz (1 kHz standard).
